How do i get a family member to come to the United States if they are in Somalia and their life is in jeopardy
My uncle has a son, who he hasn't see for close to 10 years now. He is 22 and has little sisters. They live in Mogadishu Somalia which is the center of all violence in Somalia. How does the legal system in the United States work in this case.

thats easy as a blood kin you can go to the local embassy near your state and can get issue a guest sponsor visa thats not to hard to get about 6 to 8 weeks in most cases.that will give you about 6 months in the US to figure out you next move to keep them here
2 :
If your uncle has to file an I-130 immigration petition for him. If your uncle is a US citizen and his son is not married it will take about 6 years. If your uncle has a green card and his son is not married it will take about 9 years. If his son is married your uncle must be a US citizen. It will take about 8 years. See the visa bulletin..... http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_4310.html Good luck.
3 :
Is your uncle a US citizen? If not, forget it. And with the problems in Somalia, it is very difficult to get a visa to the US. The immigration limit is overloaded by refugees certified through the UN; and there is a problem deporting "undesirable aliens" and "criminal aliens" back to Somalia so there is a serious disincentive to allowing Somalis into the US.

They are usually seen as a mark of some sort of immaturity. Never see them on bank presidents, maybe on the guy that sweeps up in the bank. I've known people that got tatoos when they were in the Navy, because it was what all guys in the Navy did in those days and now, working out in the regular world, they wear long sleeve shirts to hide them. Right now in the U.S. it is something like a fad among the teen to early 20 year old set, but not too wide spread.

Well tattoos are considered pretty ok now adays especially since it has become the biggest trend around the world..i know alot of people who have their whole arm tattooed and still have an awesome job...its not a big thing now adays..am sure even the guy who interviews you will be having one hidden somewher...but if your planning to get a new one i guess it would be better to get one someplace where it can be easily covered...

What should a Canadian apply for to work in the United States
What should a Canadian apply for to work in the United States?
My girlfriend is Canadian and I am American. What does she need to apply for to be able to legally live and work in the states? Would there be any reason she would be denied?

1 :
Probably if she has a criminal backround she might be denied. She needs to apply for residency status, a green card can get you to live and work but you want to strive for permanent residency or citizenship since a green card can expire. If you get married to her that would speed up the process a bit, and I also recommend getting a lawyer to help you guys process the paperwork.
2 :
As of now she can work on TN visa. Which you can get the Border by showing the offer letter. But Oncve you get married and apply for Green card she can apply for EAD and work. Once she apply for Green card she cannot use the TN visa also cannot travel to US without a document call advance parole,

The most popular program is the associate degree, which takes an average of two to three years to complete. One of the perks associated with this path is that once you've obtained the degree, you can apply for an entry-level position that offers benefits—including tuition reimbursement and college credit toward your two-year bachelor's degree. This choice also provides valuable hands-on experience in the field while earning an education. Going straight for the bachelor's program takes four years, and a diploma can take three to five years. After completing any of these programs a nurse must pass a national licensing examination. Nursing degree education requirements vary based on state, and a nurse may sometimes be required to take the local NCLEX-RN examination to work in a new state, so make sure you research the requirements in the state where you want to practice by contacting the state board of nursing.
2 :
you work like everyone else. truth hurts doesnt it...why would someone "sponsor" your tuition..we have our own people wanting to go to nursing school and need help.....you go to work and put your self thru school...just like us..that is if your legal.

its alot, and it dosent work perfectly, you have to touch up the roots, and it makes yuour hair brittle, no matter what they tell you. get the chi straightner, it can be found at a good salon
3 :
It depend in what type of hair do you have. It varies from $100-400 and yes it works well if it is done properly a professional.
4 :
My friend had the crliest frizziest hair EVER. He got it chemicaly straigtened...AMAZING, I SWEAR.
5 :
It's pretty expensive, about $300-$500 (in CA), depends of the location though. Some places even charge you $1K for it. Try to look for Asian places, they are cheaper and since they were the ones who first introduced it to the market, they know more about it. It takes about 4-5 hours to have it done. It works very well. You won't even have to brush your hair when you wake up.

2 :
Yes, but you need to be aware; Standard Definition output requires your TV be NTSC compatible, High Definition will work regardless. The US power standard is 110V. Some US PS3's have a universal power supply that will work in Europe, but you can only check by opening the case of your PS3. If it isnt universal, you will need a power adaptor as well. You wont be able to play PAL DVD's at all, or protected blu-ray movies.

In addition to the great answer of mark s I'll add that PS3 games are region free, but PS1/2 games are still region locked. I own US PS3 in Europe.

6 :
Nope. You "only" have to be a citizen to work for the FBI, not necessarily born in the US. To be president or vice president, you have to be a "natural born" citizen. That means you have to have been a citizen since you were born. You can't be a naturalized citizen (a person who applied, and filled out paperwork and swore an oath.) Note that a "natural born" citizen does not necessarily need to have been born in the US. US citizens can be born abroad to their US citizen parents. They are still citizens the moment they are born. John McCain wasn't born in the US, but he is a natural born citizen. No other positions in the US government besides president and vice president require you to be a natural born citizen. Most require you to be a citizen though.

It depends because if the iphone 3G is using a service that has been tethered by the service provider, then it will not be unlocked. If it has been bought from the store, then most likely it is unlocked because i know you can buy unlocked phones from the store. Long story short, if it was bought from a store, then most likely it is unlocked. Think of it this way, if theres an indian version of AT&T and it was bought from there store, then it wont work in the USA.

it has the visa logo then yes you should have no problem
2 :
Yes, you should be able to use it, but I would not use it online. Since it is a Canadian issued card, you may be charged foreign transaction fees on each purchase in the U.S. The reason i said you should not use it online is that to use a card online, you need to call the card issuer (VanCity Visa) to register your card (add your name and billing address), otherwise it will be rejected. Now, you have a Canadian issued card, and you have a US billing address. That may raise some red flags with the card processor if used online.
3 :
It should work in the US, but don't try it for "pay at the pump" or online transactions as there may be a problem with the verification as it was issued in Canada. Good luck!

You will need a work visa in order to work in the USA. Immigrants, even legal ones, have no guarantee of security to stay in the US. We have known many, many legal immigrants (spousal and work visa's) who were told they had to leave the US within 30 days and reapply to return. So don't think because you have a work visa, you are safe. No matter what country you come from, you are still going to have to jump through the same hoops as any other immigrant. For a work visa, you are going to need an advanced degree with at least 2 yrs work experience in same field. Your American employer will have to prove they advertised the job, and there were no Americans or legal permanent residents who were qualified for the position. Then, and only then, will your employer be able to apply for your work visa. It is very expensive and can take a yr to process. Donna

a) yes they can - if they find an employer willing to sponsor them for a work visa. b) if those EU citizens want to work, yes they will need a work visa b) same as for anybody else Your chances will depend mainly what you have to offer in regards to job skills, not which country you are from. If you want to work as an unskilled laborer your chances are very low, if you are a world famous rocket scientist your chances are pretty good... Keep in mind, your employer applies for the visa, not you. So you need to find a job first.

Pick a visa There are basically NINE ways that you can get a visa to live and work in the US: (1) Marriage (or engagement in anticipation of marriage) to a US citizen. (2) You have skills that are in short supply in the US e.g. scientific or medical training. A degree is normally a must. Or you have superior specialist skills with at least 12 years experience. (H visas) (3) You have an Employer who is willing to transfer you - but even the employer has to make a good case for you - so you have to be a manager unless you fall under category (2) above.(L visas) (4) You may get a Green card in the diversity lottery (UK citizens, except N.Ireland, are not generally eligible unless you, your spouse or parents were born abroad or held a different citizenship. (5)You own or buy business (does not get you permanent resident status i.e. no green card)You must be a national of a qualifying Treaty countries. The business must have a minimum value of around $150k (more the better) bearing in mind you will need somewhere to live and with any startup business you will need at least 2 years living money as back up. So a figure of $350k would be a nearer minimum (E-2 visas) (6)You are an "investor" i.e. you have at least US $1m in assets to bring with you. half of that in a few areas. And your background will be investigated to the hilt. (EB-5 visas) (7)You have a close relative (mother, father, brother, sister and no further) who is an US citizen who would sponsor you, approx time this take 2-12 years? (8.The R1 visa is available to foreign members of religious denominations, having bona fide non-profit religious organizations in the U.S., for entering the U.S. to carry on the activities of a minister or religious worker as a profession, occupation or vocation (9)THE UNUSUAL You are in a position to claim refugee status/political asylum. or You get a member of Congress to sponsor a private bill with legislation that applies just to you. The S visa issued to persons who assist US law enforcement to investigate and prosecute crimes and terrorist activities such as money laundering and organized crime Recruitment agent will not take you seriously if you are not already in the US. Writing for jobs is really a waste of time; likewise US employers have no idea what foreign qualification are or mean (except Degrees) it may pay you to get your qualification translated into a US equivalent, there are Companies that do this (www.wes.org) .. But if you are getting a visa under (2) above then you need a job offer before you can get the visa. Your Employer will be your sponsor this will cost them upward of $5k. So you can see you have to be offering something really special to get considered They may also have to prove to the Dept of labor that there is no American who can do the job if the position is to be permanent ©

No, you need to have a work visa to work in the U.S. Citizens of the EU can enter the US without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program, but there are certain restrictions or conditions for using the program. You're limited to a stay of 90 days, cannot work, and you have no recourse if you're ordered deported. If you overstay, you'll need to apply for visas in the future--no more VWP. There are no particular "rights or restrictions" for EU citizens--rights and restrictions apply to everyone. The main one: you need to have the legal authority to work in the U.S. If you don't you're violating the terms of your visa and are deportable.

Yes, as long as you have US Temporary Workers Visa sponsored by US Employer. http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1271.html
I would like to find out can citizens that are in the E.U. go to America and work there legally? Also do citizens from the EU need a visa to go to US? And finally what are the rights and restrictions for EU citizens in US please can u name the most important ones? Thanks! To be more specific i am more interested to find out what are the chances for people from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithunania to work in USA. Thanks!

Donna

You have to be sponsored by a company. There are few jobs here, a major recession is about to take place.
2 :
you either need to get sponsored by a company to get a work visa or get sponsored for a work permit. otherwise, no... unless you can be sponsored for a permanent residency card.
3 :
What makes you think you are needed here in the US? There are plenty of US born candidates that have a MBA. Please stay where you are.
4 :
I'm not sure how you apply, but I've worked with quite a few people over the years who were resident aliens, here on visas, etc. So yeah, it's very possible.

Not likely that you qualify for a visa. Information on immigration here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis
2 :
There are multiple ways that a non-US citizen can come and live in the US. 1) Work Visa. 2) Student Visa. (Temporary) 3) Green Card Lottery. 4) Corporation. 5) Asylum. 1) Work Visa, You will have to get a company, here is the US to send you a contract stating that they would like you to come and work for them, based on your specific expertise. You will have to work for them for a certain period of time (not the extent of the contract, I believe it is 5 years, a period set by USCIS) and after that you will get your green card and you can then quit and work any where else. 2) Student Visa, it is along the same lines of the work visa except it is to study. You will have to be accepted by a college or a university in the US in order to apply. The down side of this is that its temporary, as soon as you graduate, you will have to go back. 3) The Green Card Diversity Lottery is possibly the best way to come to the US. You apply in May from your country and they respond in a couple of month. The only down side is that it is by chance. Out of the number of people that do win, they choose about half who are qualified, and educated, and they give them green cards as soon as they come to the US. IN retrospect, This is the most cost-effective way to migrate to the US. 4) The Corporation is interesting. To do it, you have to be an owner or a manager of a company in your home country and say that you would like to open a branch in the US. Generally USCIS, the company's fund needs to be above a million dollars to be taken seriously at all, because there is no point of opening in a new country if you don't make that much money. This is possibly the least cost effective of all the ways. 5) Asylum. In order for you apply for asylum you will need to be from a country where there is discrimination from a specific group of people. For example, Christians in a Muslim country, Homosexuals in an intolerant country, Palestinians in Israel...etc. You will have to prove a) that you belong to that group b) that you were discriminated again c) that going back home will put your life and the lives of your family in danger. Other than those 5 ways, there is no way that you can live in the US and achieve Citizen ship.

To obtain Permanent Immigrant Visa, you need a sponsor who must file Petition for you. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_1326.html

People here are not provided with anything, unless your an immigrant, and they get freebees out the butt. Most real Americans have worked for everything they have. Do you have a trade? Can you come here and be productive?
2 :
be prepared for the worst, and really research where you plan to live. some parts of the usa the economy really sucks, my fiance' has been out of the navy for ten months and is still searching for a job. Your best bet is to have some sort of higher education.
3 :
I would try to do as much research on the Internet as possible about moving here from another country or obtaining a work visa. In all honesty, if you do get the opportunity to come to the USA, please learn to speak the language, respect our laws and people and be proud to live here. Good Luck!
4 :
You would be surprised how many people immigrate to the US with the objective of living the good life only to be disillusioned and go back to their country of origin. If you think this is an easy place in which to do well, think again. You have to work your tail off just to make ends meet. And all those benefits you get from the government were you live now? Well they don't exist here. You want the necessities of life including health care, you work for it. and if you can't afford it, you don't have it
5 :
There's tons of jobs, people will get a job and just quit cause they don't like a coworker, same day. Then get another job. Jobs are easy to find, employees that aren't total flakes are the problem.
6 :
To get into the U.S., first buy a plane ticket to Tijuana, Mexico. Then, find a hole in the border fence and crawl though it. Don't worry about getting caught--and even if you are it's not a problem-- because the U.S. no longer has the political will to stop invaders, especially when they come in small groups at night. We have 12-14 million invaders in just the last decade or so from just one country, and no one in power seems to care. It will be easy for you to get a job. The U.S. is filled corrupt businessmen who would prefer slaves, but who settle for paying sub-standard wages to poor, ignorant Mexicans or other illegals. These businessmen (and some politicians) say these jobs must go to illegals because Americans don't want the jobs. This is a lie. The business people are just unwilling to pay honest wages. There would be plenty Americans workers if the pay was right. Corrupt business people prefer to exploit ignorant workers since it increases their profits. You can get one of these low paying jobs if you wish. Businessmen have created plenty of them. Tips: It would be best if your wife is 9 months pregnant and has the child on the U.S. side of the fence. Your child will be an automatic U.S. Citizen and that's worth a lot of money in terms of welfare payments, education, heath care etc. If you think you might get caught for being an illegal, go to a Catholic or Methodist church, even if you're Muslim. These churches don't think U.S. laws apply to them and will hide you and feed you. If you want to become famous in America, and to delay deportation (which probably won't happen anyway) go on a speaking tour. Tell CNN that Americans are racists. It's not true, of course. but it makes some Americans feel guilty, and they will be on your side. And remember, making others feel guilty for all the wrong reasons will always put money in your pocket. /
7 :
Depends. Where do you live now? You'll have to find an employer willing to sponsor you, or a spouse. I know there are some casinos in Las Vegas or Reno, Nevada which have summer employment plans for people, especially from Europe. Also, you might be able to join the US military. I was in the Air Force and served with a guy from the Phillipines. Good luck!
8 :
You are mistaken. They are not well-provided for. Expensive, unaffordable health care, cost of everything is sky high, when pay stays the same year after year. They work damn hard for what they do have. Don't come thinking it's an easy life. Come for a visit and see all the homeless people who are not "provided" for. See the sick people who cannot get proper care.
9 :
Get a work visa and come to the US to find work.
10 :
green card, work visa, or marriage. other alternatives... "The U.S. is filled corrupt businessmen who would prefer slaves, but who settle for paying sub-standard wages to poor, ignorant Mexicans or other illegals."
11 :
You should learn a skill or have an education in a field that is in need of in the USA. This way you could apply for a job before getting here an would have a sponsor .

If i buy from the US will it work here? Because the price difference is £44

Psp's bought in the UK can only read PAL games. PAL games are sold in the UK. Psp's bought in Canada or the US can only read NTSC games. Games sold in the US/Canada are NTSC versions. This also goes for most other consoles like the Wii. So, bottom line, if you buy your psp in the US, then it will only play games that you buy from the us; it's won't play games you buy in the UK.

yes but the outletts are different.

i guess it would if the hook ups on their TVs are the same
4 :
Get a Singapore power point adaptor and you should be right
5 :
what doesn't work in singapore? its like america's farthest territory.
6 :
Yes, but you must get a voltage adapter/converter....
7 :
Yes, they will work. But you must have a voltage converter for the different outlets, and you will only be able to play games made for the US console. Actually, some TVs in Singapore might even be incompatible. The video system is PAL, not NTSC as in the United States. Most foreign TVs will accept the signal, but not all. Good luck.
8 :
yes and no. as long as you buy games from the US and you have a voltage/plug adapter, then you can, but you won't be able to play games from Singapore. you can still connect to the internet and download the old games, but since the file systems are different (US is NTSB and I'm not sure what Singapore is, but I think it's FAT?), you will have to order games from the US. don't get one from another country.

Can a permanent resident of the United States work in Canada Legally
Can a permanent resident of the United States work in Canada Legally?

1 :
No, only if you have papers to work in Canada
2 :
yeah... They dont need visa either. If you u will be staying over in canada, you should get a permit to show that u gonna stay for a while. You should give them your resume also.
3 :
No. You would need to apply and get a work permit just like everyone else.
4 :
Yes, but only with work authorization from Canada Immigration unless, of course, the permanent resident is also a Canadian citizen. Many citizens of Canada who are permanent residents of the U.S. cross the border everyday to work in Canada. At the end of the day, they come back to their homes in the States. For those who are not citizens of Canada, they need to be sure that they do not apply for anything with Canada Immigration that implies that they intend to make Canada their new home. For example, a citizen of Belgium who has a green card shouldn't apply for permanent resident status in Canada. Instead, some sort of temporary work authorization would be better. Of course, any income earned in Canada must be declared on IRS Form 1040, and the LPR must file the 1040 as a U.S. resident, not as a non-citizen, non-resident. That's the kiss of death.
5 :
You WILL STILL need a work permit to work in Canada. It is a separate and SOVEREIGN country. Canada is NOT the 51st state you know. Also as a green card holder of USA, you cannot be out of USA for more than 6 months at any one time, or your green card will eventually be cancelled as CIS will assume you have abandoned that country.

Does a game/system bought in Japan work in America? Yes. Therefore, I assume it works in Australia too.
3 :
With a converter it might, however the games you buy in Australia won't work with it, it's region-coded.
4 :
I'm pretty sure all you need to do is buy a different power adaptor to suit Australian power points, because the US plug won't fit. The US uses 110V, as I'm aware of, and Australia uses 240V. A bit unrelated, I have a Dell laptop purchased in Australia, and it can handle voltages between 100-240V. So i'm assuming that Microsoft are smart enough to ensure their system will be operable at different voltages. Another thing is the frequency. Australia uses 50Hz, and the US uses 60Hz. On the bottom of the power adaptor, there should be some info about it. Just check what the input voltage and frequency is, and if it says up to 220V or 240V, and up to 60Hz, then it will work. One thing though is you shouldn't use Xbox Live, as Microsoft may cancel your subscription, and another thing is that some people have reported that their warranty doesn't cover countries other than the country of purchase.

There is a general curriculum that everyone has to take and then, usually by the end of your Sophomore year, you have to select a major. Universities vary on the number of credits you need to fulfill your major. Generally speaking, you would take about 4 classes that would fulfill both your general curriculum and your major in the first 2 years. Then you would take around 10 classes in your Junior and Senior years that would be specific to your major. At the college I attended, Boston College, we had to take 5 classes per semester Freshman through Junior year and then 4 classes per semester Senior year.
2 :
Pick a college at random, call their admissions department, and ask the exact same question you asked here.
3 :
Okay. Generally speaking it takes four years to complete a bachelor's degree in the U.S. (although these days it is closer to five). The years are separated into: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior, which year you are in is determined by how many credits you have earned (I will speak more about that later). Again, generally speaking, for the first two years (freshman and sophomore) you will be working towards completing what is known as General Studies. General studies is around 60-64 credit hours and what will happen is that you will get a list of headings such as: English, Mathematics, Physical & Biological, Social and Behavioral and Humanities. Under each heading will be a list of classes you can take and the amount of credit you need in each section to complete the general studies requirements. By the time you have completed these general studies requirements, you would have got some idea about what subject(s) you wish to pursue academically or where you want your career to take you and this is the point were you decide your major. A major is subject that you want to concentrate the final two years (junior and senior) of your education pursuing and at the end of those two years, you will get a degree in that subject. Classes for your major works in the same way as it did for the General Studies requirements. You will have core classes which you will have to take, followed by a choice of three or four classes and you must pick one or two and then you will have a certain amount of electives to chose and in the end. The combination of all four years (120 credit hours) will result in a degree; your major. If you want a really clear example then take a look at the two links below. The first one is a standard general studies requirement and the 2nd is what is needed for a degree in business management.

pretty much you get a bill in the mail every month and pay it. unless you get it through your employer then a low fee is taken out of your paycheck, ussually about $10 or so. sometimes employers dont take it out though. but once you have it you get a little card with your name and account information. when you get sick you just take the card to the nurse at the front desk and she processes your card and sees what if your plan covers what ever it is you had wrong with you. if they're is a deductible (money you have to pay) then you pay it and the insurance company takes care of the rest. no obama really hasnt come up with a health care reform that makes it through congress. the only thing he's changed thats worth mentioning is if your 24 live with your parents and go to college you can be put on there plan.
4 :
Health insurance in the US is a joke. Every month you pay what is called a premium. This is just to have said health insurance. Premiums are usually a couple hundred dollars a month to a lot more. Next, you now have health insurance. Yippe. Now you get sick. You have to go to the doctor for treatment and tests. But because it is early in the yr, you haven't paid your deductible yet. So now you have to pay for all treatment and test out of your own pocket (along with that monthly premium, don't forget that). A deductible is a set amount that must be paid BEFORE the insurance company will pay one penny. Deductibles usually start at around $500 a yr. Can be several thousand, depending on the policy. Once you have paid your deductible out of your own pocket, then and only then will the insurance company pay anything towards your medical care. Now you have been making your monthly premiums, and finally was sick enough to pay your deductible (has been a bad yr so far lol). Now you get sick again. This time you have met your deductible, and now have to pay the co-pay. This is the portion of any medical bill you are responsible for, even though you pay those monthly premiums, and met that deductible. The average co-pay is 20%. Meaning the insurance company pays 80% of the bill, and you pay 20%. But some insurance will only pay 60%..some 70%...some 90%. Varies by company and policy. Now if you are sick enough to need to go into the hospital and need to stay there for an operation ...well that co-pay you have to pay is usually enough to financially break most people. 3/4 of bankruptcies in the US are due to medical bills, and 50% had medical insurance. Now something else that often catches people with medical insurance off guard. The insurance company has the right and ability to deny any treatment and/or services they wish. You have paid that premium each month, met that deductible...now you need and operation for X reason. You find out the insurance company won't pay for it. Makes you want to seethe. The health care reform is supposed to stop insurance companies from refusing to cover someone if they have a preexisting medical condition. It is also supposed to stop them from refusing to cover a lot of treatment and services. Kids up to the age of 24 are supposed to be able to remain of their parents policy. If a person cannot afford health insurance, then they would qualify for aid from the government to help purchase health insurance. Everyone should have health coverage. If someone gets hurt or seriously ill, how would they pay the hospital bills? If they can't..guess who ends up eating the bill? The tax payers. Truth
5 :
You can find health insurance quotes online that are pretty inexpensive. http://healthinsuranceconnection.info/ has a short form you fill out and you can get rates from a bunch of different providers.

Truth

pretty much you get a bill in the mail every month and pay it. unless you get it through your employer then a low fee is taken out of your paycheck, ussually about $10 or so. sometimes employers dont take it out though. but once you have it you get a little card with your name and account information. when you get sick you just take the card to the nurse at the front desk and she processes your card and sees what if your plan covers what ever it is you had wrong with you. if they're is a deductible (money you have to pay) then you pay it and the insurance company takes care of the rest. no obama really hasnt come up with a health care reform that makes it through congress. the only thing he's changed thats worth mentioning is if your 24 live with your parents and go to college you can be put on there plan.

Will a PSP bought in the United States work in Germany if i buy a new charger for it? I know the games will work but i want to know about the charge.

1 :
it should you just need to get the proper charger. germany uses a different voltage than we do.
2 :
The issue is German electric power, which is 240 volts, and is 50 Hz rather than 60. Check the rating plate on your PSP to see what its voltage and frequency requirements are; the voltage can be adjusted with a step-down transformer, but if the frequency is wrong, you're stuck.
3 :
It will work if you buy a new charger. The charger has a transformer in it so the voltage at the output will be correct for the PSP. The frequency shouldnt be a factor.
4 :
Do what they say to do. A 60 to 50 hz / 110w to 220w adapter is what they are presenting to you. If weight is a problem, sell it and buy another over there, used is cheaper. Be sure to see the sights, history. PSP can wait for rainy days.

There are four different 'sections' or schooling in the United States: Elementary School (I also include Preschool in this), Middle School or Junior High, High School, and University Education. Elementary school includes Kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, depending on where you live. In elementary school, you are assigned to one teacher and class and stay with them throughout the entire day for the most part. When you reach higher grade levels (4th, 5th, and 6th) you start rotating classrooms to different teachers, but you still stay with the same classmates. Elementary schools usually run from 8:00 AM to about 3:30 PM with a half hour to forty-five minute lunch break and a recess of the same time period. Kindergarten students usually are only in school for half the day, but that varies by region. Middle School is 6th through 8th grade while Junior High is 7th through 8th (or 9th in certain places). Essentially, they are the same thing. Here you get to choose your classes to some extent and you don't necessarily stay with the same students in each class. You don't have as much of an option over the elective courses you take as you do in High School, but there is an element of freedom that Elementary School doesn't have. They usually run about seven hours per day. High School is 9th through 12th grade (in some areas it starts in 10th grade). Here, you have much more freedom in what you study. Within each class, there are multiple levels of the class you can take. Also, you have the option of doing a work-study program in most areas, where you go to school half the day and work or intern somewhere for the other half. There are also a lot more extracurricular activities, such as sports and theatre, and you can get as involved as you want. You can also run for class president, secretary, and other such positions. My school was about six and a half hours long each day, running from 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM (most high schools go to 2:30 or 3:00) and we had six separate periods and a lunch period. And I don't think that the Universities in the US work much differently than those in England, but you get to pick pretty much everything you want to do there, from what you major in to when you take your classes to how many classes you take. In all the other levels of schooling, your schedule is made for you even if you picked the classes yourself. And then there are private schools, which work differently, but not by much to my knowledge. I don't know because I've never attended one. Anyway, I hope that was what you were looking for! I've often wondered how schools in other countries work.

Does he have a TV and an outlet? Then yes he can use a nintendo gamecube. It isn't like a light bulb.
3 :
The cord has a power converter in it. Thats what the box in the cord is for. You will probably need a different power cord because the outlets will not be the same. The big issue is these consoles are region locked. So you can only play North American games on your North American gamecube.

do Tools Purchased in the United States work in a foreign country without converters?
I am a construction worker I am being sent to Germany to work on a project. I know electronics purchased in the United States don't work in foregn countries with out a converter due to differences in the power they use. what about power tools?

the tool itself will work,as long as you have an adapter to plug it in
2 :
Most equipment in building sites is 110V volts in Europe , its run off step down transformers to Isolate power tools etc
3 :
If you have power tools get a local power strip in Germany. The operating range of the powertools should handle the voltage range of the place you will be working at. Call the place of work(your contractor) who gave you the job. They will definitely answer your question. I am sure you are not the first person they've hired, and you are not the last person. They'll be the best people for you to ask. Best of Luck. Bon Voyage. P.S.: There is a link below... check it out. Hope this helps Bud.
4 :
No, if they use power, you need a converter. Nothing with an American plug will work. Well actually they may work, but they will blow the power. All of the electric things you buy in Japan work in regular American outlets, but you have to have a voltage converter, or else you will be hitting the breaker switch all day.
5 :
hi the circles are different in Germany, it might work with a converter, but is very questionable. the best bet is you buy German tools in Germany. enjoy your stay in Germany!! Helga

Will my Nintendo Wii from the United States work on televisions in Australia with component cables?
I'm traveling to Australia from the United States for several months, and I have the proper power adapters to run my Wii. However, I was not sure if I would be able to use an Australian TV there with my component cables, considering the fact that composite would not work due to the NTSC/PAL difference. So, would I be able to get the system to work with a television there? Thanks for your answers!

Only if the TV can accept a 480i or 480p signal. PAL and SECAM standards are 576i and 576p, which are used outside of the U.S.

it will work. the only thing that has a regional code is the disk. not the cables. as long as you have the correct plug running at the proper wattage your wii wont fry and nothing will be wrong.
