No, only if you have papers to work in Canada

yeah... They dont need visa either. If you u will be staying over in canada, you should get a permit to show that u gonna stay for a while. You should give them your resume also.

No. You would need to apply and get a work permit just like everyone else.

Yes, but only with work authorization from Canada Immigration unless, of course, the permanent resident is also a Canadian citizen. Many citizens of Canada who are permanent residents of the U.S. cross the border everyday to work in Canada. At the end of the day, they come back to their homes in the States. For those who are not citizens of Canada, they need to be sure that they do not apply for anything with Canada Immigration that implies that they intend to make Canada their new home. For example, a citizen of Belgium who has a green card shouldn't apply for permanent resident status in Canada. Instead, some sort of temporary work authorization would be better. Of course, any income earned in Canada must be declared on IRS Form 1040, and the LPR must file the 1040 as a U.S. resident, not as a non-citizen, non-resident. That's the kiss of death.

You WILL STILL need a work permit to work in Canada. It is a separate and SOVEREIGN country. Canada is NOT the 51st state you know. Also as a green card holder of USA, you cannot be out of USA for more than 6 months at any one time, or your green card will eventually be cancelled as CIS will assume you have abandoned that country.
