Can you furnish proof of your eligibility to work in the United States? Are they asking if I have a valid Visa or about the valid educational qualification for the job.

Were you born in the US or do you have a visa, green card is what they want to know.Nothing to do with education.

Employers are required by federal law to validate your legal ability to work in the country. This requires you providing documents and the employer completing a Form I-9. The form I-9 has a list of common documents that can be used, but a common combination is Driver License and Social Security Card.
