Will a video game console from New Zealand work in the United States

Will a video game console from New Zealand work in the United States?
Will a video game console from New Zealand be compatible with North American TV's and such? Of the three (Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3), which if any (or all?) will work in the United States? What about the fact that USA is NTSC and New Zealand is PAL. Does that affect anything?

They should. There might be a difference in power plugs but I would imagine that New Zealand isn't really all that backwards.

That will depend on the TV you use in the US. There are an increasing number of NTSC / PAL compatible TV's (at least there are in some markets - not sure about the US) but there are two other problems as well though. A different voltage is used, so you'd have to buy an adaptor & DVD players are still region locked which means that you will not be able to play North American region DVD's or Blue Ray discs. The games should be okay though, because they aren't region locked & only the video output is affected by the NTSC / PAL difference. Same problems with all game systems. Hope this helps.
