I have a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery can I get a work in the United States?
I am a Medical Doctor and went to the University of the West Indies but i am curious about any options in the United States of America. I heard that qualifications outside of US are not recognized. Thanks for your responses.

A few people I know have/are done medical school in the Caribbean and they are practicing or doing their residency in the US. But you need remarkable USMLE scores if you're a foreign graduate to even be able to get a residency. Also, alot of states will require a minimum amount of undergrad to be able to be licensed. And lastly, make sure your school is on the approved list for each state. What do you mean by "Bachelor of Medicine" and "Bachelor of Surgery?" Because when you graduate medical school you walk out with an MD, not a bachelors.

MB BCh are the degrees offered in most countries outside the US to medical students. The UK, Ireland, the Commonwealth and some other countries have MB BCh instead of MD. I think you would be allowed to practise as long as your University is recognised as having the minimum standards for the US. Hope this helps.

Small farm life in the United States
Small farm life in the United States?
Please help me by answering these questions? 1.What percentage of farms in the United States are family owned, and how has this percentage changed in the past fifty years? 2.What percentage of workers in the United States work on farms? 3.How has the growth of technology affected farm productivity and the need for farm workers?

I have no clue on the 1st one but I would say that the percentage would have stayed relatively the same its just that there are fewer overall farms but they are bigger on average. #2 according to 2 of my professors around 2% #3 technology has allowed farms to be far more productive and signifigantly reduced the need for farm workers.... just think it takes a handfull of people a relatively short period of time to harvest hundreds of acers of corn today.... where as before modern technology it would have taken several dozens of people in order to do a smaller amount of land and it would have taken longer to harvest it as well.... not to mention... planting, fertilizing, pesticides, and the technology in some of the seeds themselves (GM seeds).

I'm applying for EDD,one question is,Were you legally entitled to work in United States for the past 19 months
I'm applying for EDD,one question is,Were you legally entitled to work in United States for the past 19 months?
i worked for the company for years and just got laid off march 2009, i just recently got approved for AOS adjustment of status as lawful permanent resident Sep 2009. Would that question disqualify me for applying for unemployment? am i entitled to UI benefits?

You worked for a company for X years and then got laid off your visa then became void ...why did you not leave Yet you got approved for AOS ...why would you Need an EAD then you got me confused ...You cannot normally adjust status while in the country illegally .
