I want to get a european license plate for my 2002 BMW 325i but im not sure where and how to get it. I also want to know does the plate have to go through the DMV or is there a different process to it?

You can only have a European license plate on your car in the United States if you are a legal resident of a European nation. This isn't like a specialty plate, it is from your place of residence. If you live in Ohio, you have to have an Ohio plate. Now if you visit Arizona or Washington, those states respect the Ohio plate and allow you to continue driving. This same process is used for Europeans that bring their cars over for vacation or temporary residence. I am afraid the answer to your second question is, you can't.
